The connector for Microsoft Office 365 provides single sign-on and provisioning capabilities to Office 365 through CloudAccess or through IdentityAccess Service.

  • With WS-Federation, the connector supports federated single sign-on natively from a Microsoft Lync client or from a Lync mobile app on iOS and Android devices.

System Requirements

  • One of the following supported appliances:
    • A NetIQ CloudAccess 2.3.1 Hotfix 1 or later system, installed and configured
    • A NetIQ IdentityAccess Service 2.3.1 Hotfix 1 or later system, installed and configured
  • An Office 365 administrative account.
  • A verified Office 365 domain for which the appliance will manage authentication.
  • A Windows Management Server where you will install the connector for a unique Office 365 domain. Ensure that the server meets the following requirements:
    • Windows Server 2012 R2 or Windows Server 2008 R2 operating system with all available updates installed.
    • Microsoft IIS. Install the IIS component that comes with the Windows Server operating system on your Windows Management Server. The connector uses HTTPS between the appliance and the Office 365 web application in IIS.
    • Microsoft .NET Framework 4.x.
    • Microsoft Online Services Sign-In Assistant 7.x.
    • Windows Azure AD Module for Windows PowerShell.

Downloading and Installing

You must download and install the connector for Office 365 on a Windows Management Server.

  1. Download the connector for Office 365 installation file to the appropriate Windows Management Server.

  2. Install the connector for Office 365 on the server, then configure it for a unique Office 365 domain.
