Product Description

The Password Administration plug-in for iManager lets you manage Password policies in eDirectory.

The plug-ins do not require NetIQ Identity Manager. However, if you license and deploy Identity Manager, you can extend complete password management, including password self-service and password synchronization, to virtually any application in your environment. You can extend this password solution to other enterprise systems, such as Microsoft Active Directory, Lotus Notes, PeopleSoft, or an LDAP directory.

File Options

Identity Manager 4.6 provides two Password Administration plug-in files in the installation package. Depending on the eDirectory version (9.0.2 or later or 8.8.8.9 or later) you plan to install, install a compatible version of the plug-in.

System Requirements

For information about system requirements, see the Identity Manager Setup Guide on the Identity Manager Documentation Web site.

NetIQ provides two ways to install and configure Identity Manager in your environment: an integrated installation solution and installation programs for each component or a group of components. Integrated Installation program enables you to install and configure all components, using default values for many of the settings. You can use the Integrated Installation program to install all components on one computer or in a distributed environment. With the standalone installation programs, you can install one or more of the Identity Manager components separately or customize a large portion of the setting. For more information, see Understanding the Integrated and Standalone Installation Processes on the Identity Manager Documentation Web site
