Removing a Discussion Group

  1. From the General Administration page, click the News Server server name button > Discussion Groups > Manage Discussion Groups > OK.

  2. Select the discussion group.

  3. Click Remove.

  4. Click Remove Group on Local Servers Only

    or

    Click Remove Group on All Internal Connected Servers.

If you have configured the News Server to notify you about rmgroup control articles in the Configure Replication Host form (from the News Server interface, click Discussion Replication > Configure Replication Host), you will receive one notification control message for the removed discussion group and its lower-level discussion groups.

If the discussion group is removed from your local server and not a replication host, you will still receive an e-mail notification.
