ATM LEC Configuration
Before the ATM LEC can be configured, the LECS must first be configured. The LECS is a software component that provides configuration information to the LEC, LES and BUS. The user configures the LECS to define LEC, LES, and BUS configuration parameters and to initialize the LES and BUS components of the ELAN. Upon loading, individual LEC components communicate with the LECS to obtain configuration parameters. Each LEC member of an ELAN is configured with the same set of operational parameters. The parameters define the ATM address of the LES component, timeout values, and number of retry attempts for establishing virtual circuit connections (VCCs). For detailed information about ATM LEC configuration parameters, refer to Setting Up.
