Network Printing

Novell® Linux Small Business Suite 9 (NLSBS9) software lets your users share printers on the network through Common UNIX* Printing Services (CUPS), an open source print server solution. Although lprng and lpdfilter packages will continue to be supported, CUPS offers these advantages:

This chapter guides you through the steps to set up a basic CUPS print server to service the print jobs on the network and provides instructions for printing from Linux and Windows workstations. After completing these steps, your network users can send their print jobs to server-attached printers.
