The Novell Filr for MobileIron AppConnect allows users to access the Filr system from a mobile device that is being managed by MobileIron.

Android users must download a MobileIron-compatible app, which is provided here. For iOS users, the Filr Mobile App that is available in the Apple App Store is already compatible with MobileIron.

Key Features

    Following are new features available in the Android mobile app:

    • Ability to upload files from any folder or area within the Filr app
    • Ability to copy and move files and folders
    • Share using a File Link
    • Thumbnail displays for viewed images
    • Android Integration with Storage Access Framework, which provides tighter integration among apps on Android devices (This feature is currently not available with MobileIron)

This is the Filr Mobile App for Android for MobileIron 7.1 and later.

MobileIron 7.1 is not compatible with 64-bit devices running Android 5.0 (Lollipop).
iOS: Available only from the Apple App Store. This is the Filr Mobile App for iOS. By default, this app is compatible with MobileIron.

Downloading and Installing the Novell Filr for MobileIron AppConnect Mobile App

  1. Follow the on-screen prompts to download the files you need to a temporary directory on your management workstation.
  2. Follow the instructions in "Configuring MobileIron to Manage the Filr App" in the Novell Filr 1.1 Administration Guide for information about how to upload and configure the mobile application in MobileIron.
