6.11 Undeleting a File

Novell Filr enables you to undelete a file that has been deleted, restoring it to its previous location.

IMPORTANT:You cannot undelete a file that has been purged.

This functionality is available only from the Web interface, and only for items in the My Files area (items in Net Folders cannot be undeleted).

  1. Navigate to the folder or location where the deleted folder or file previously resided.

For example, if you want to restore a folder in your My Files area, navigate to your My Files area.

  2. Click the Trash icon , located in the upper right corner of the page.

The Trash page displays all folders and files that have been deleted in or below the current folder. Items that have been purged are not displayed because they are unrecoverable.

  3. Select the folder or file that you want to undelete.

  4. Click Restore.

    or

Click Restore All to restore all the folders and files from the trash.

The folders and files are restored to their previous locations. If the folder containing the files has also been deleted, it is restored when you restore the files.

For more information about undeleting, see Section 9.0, Restoring Deleted Items.
