12.0 Using RSS to Monitor Servers

Novell® Remote Manager lets you configure groups of servers for monitoring by using the links in the RSS Feed Group Operations section in the navigation frame. Then you can view and monitor the overall health or ping status of the servers through any compatible RSS (Really Simple Syndication) reader utility as shown.

Clicking the individual status link for a server opens a browser window where you can log in to Novell Remote Manager on the server and view the specific components that comprise the overall server health.

The following figure shows the health status over time of three different groups of servers configured in an organization.
