Shut Down/Start Up Printer Agents

From time to time it might become necessary to restart a printer agent. For example, if you have made configuration changes to the printer or if you need to take the printer offline for repairs.

You can shut down/start up a printer agent from the NDPS Manager screens at the server console or from a Web browser. Complete one of the following to shut down/start up a printer using your Web browser.


Using NetWare Remote Manager

  1. From your Web browser go to the NetWare Remote Manager

    For information on using NetWare Remote Manager, see NetWare Remote Manager Administration Guide.

  2. Click NDPS Manager Health Monitor.

  3. Click the name of the printer agent you want to change.

  4. Click Shutdown Printer or Startup Printer to perform the action you want.


Using Novell iManager

  1. From your Web browser , log in to Novell iManager.

    For more information on using Novell iManager, see Novell iManager Administration Guide.

  2. Click iPrint Management >Manage Printer.

  3. Select the printer you want to shutdown/startup.

  4. Click Shutdown/Startup to perform that action you want.
