Managing Novell eDirectory

Walking the eDirectory Tree

From the NDS Tree Walker page, you can view the current eDirectory tree. This page also lets you view details on and delete individual objects in the tree.

WARNING:  Be cautious when deleting objects. As an administrator, you can delete any object and you might accidently delete the Admin object itself. This prevents any access to the system-including administrator access.

Viewing eDirectory Partitions and Replicas

From the NDS Partitions page, you can view information about eDirectory partitions on the server. The information available is the partition or replica name, the type of partition or replica, and the current state and name of the server that the partition or replica exists on.

Accessing Other eDirectory Management Tools

If NDSIMON.NLM is loaded on the server, you can also access the Novell iMonitor utility and DS Trace utilities to manage and troubleshoot eDirectory on your server. For more information about iMonitor, see "Novell iMonitor" in the Novell eDirectory 8.6 Administration Guide.
