Salvaging and Purging Files

Files deleted from the NetWare server remain on the disk until the deleted files are purged. Deleted files can be salvaged any time before they are purged.

Purging frees the space used to store the deleted files on the server's hard disk. If a disk runs out of free space, NetWare automatically purges the files that were deleted first. For instructions on salvaging and purging deleted files, see Salvaging and Purging Deleted Files on NetWare Volumes in the ConsoleOne 1.3 User Guide.
