ConsoleOne


Purpose

Use at a Windows* workstation or a NetWare® server to manage your network and its resources. By default, ConsoleOneTM lets you manage:

If you install other Novell® products, additional functionality might be added to ConsoleOne. For example, if you install NDS® 8 or later, LDAP management functionality is added.

ConsoleOne is designed like a file manager utility: in the left window pane you browse containers, and in the right window pane you work with the resources in those containers.


Starting ConsoleOne

To start ConsoleOne on a NetWare server, do either of the following:

To start ConsoleOne on a workstation (Windows 95, 98 or NT*/2000),

  1. Map a drive to the SYS: volume of a NetWare server.

  2. On the mapped drive, go to PUBLIC\MGMT\CONSOLEONE\1.2\BIN, and then run CONSOLEONE.EXE.
