Controlling DeFrame Service Logging

You can control the amount of information that the Access Control, Watchdog, and Disconnected Tracking Session services output to log files. The logfiles are written to the c:\winnt\system32\deframe directory.

Each service's logging level is configured through a Windows registry value on the service's terminal server.

Access Control Service

• Logfile name: acllog.txt
• Key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\ DeACL Service\Parameters\Configuration
• Value name: LogTransaction
• Value data: 0 | 1 | 2

  0 provides the least logging information and 2 the most. 2 should be used only when troubleshooting problems.

Watchdog Service

• Logfile name: dewatchlog.txt
• Key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\ DeWatch\Config
• Value name: LogFileOutputFilter
• Value data: 0 | 1 | 2

Disconnected Session Tracking Service

• Logfile name: dcstk.txt
• Key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\ DSCTK
• Value name: LogLevel
• Value data: 0 | 1 | 2
