8.4 Loading and Unloading the DHCP Server

After updating the load and unload scripts of the virtual NCP server, DHCP server is now loaded and unloaded along with the virtual NCP Server.

8.4.1 Loading the DHCP Server

  1. Click the Cluster > Cluster Manager task in iManager

  2. Click the Search icon to open the eDirectory Object Selector. Browse or search the list to locate and select the cluster object. The cluster objects are displayed.

  3. Select the check box next to the DHCP Cluster and select Online.

  4. Select the cluster node where you want the resource to load, then click OK to load the resource on that node. After a few seconds you see the server status as Online, indicating that the server has been loaded.

8.4.2 Unloading the DHCP Server

  1. Click the Cluster > Cluster Manager task in iManager

  2. Click the Search icon to open the eDirectory Object Selector. Browse or search the list to locate and select the cluster object. The Cluster objects are displayed.

  3. Select the check box next to the DHCP cluster and select Offline. After a few seconds you see the server status as Offline, indicating that the server has been unloaded.
