On Open Enterprise Server (OES) 2015 SP1 servers, the NetWare Core Protocol (NCP) Server provides the same services that are available with NCP Server on NetWare. With NCP Server, you can define NCP volumes (NCP shares on Linux POSIX file systems) and use Novell Storage Services (NSS) volumes on Linux. Access to both types of volumes is controlled by using the Novell trustee model. Windows and Linux workstations running Novell Client software can access data and manage file sharing on OES 2015 SP1 servers just as they do on NetWare servers.
