Starting with OES 2015 SP1, the Novell Cluster Services Samba template uses a Linux Logical Volume Manager (LVM) volume group on a shared device. The Enterprise Volume Management System (EVMS) has been deprecated in SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11, and is not used for OES 2015 SP1.
The Samba resource template has been updated to create new resources based on an LVM volume group and logical volume. For Novell Storage Services (NSS) file systems, the Novell Linux Volume Manager (NLVM) replaces EVMS transparently for your pool cluster resources. You create new pool cluster resources using the same procedures as you have done for earlier versions of OES. Your resources and scripts work without changes if you upgrade to OES 2015 SP1.
