8.5 Unexpected Results from Login Scripts

When a user authenticates to NetStorage, if NCP Server is installed, the login scripts associated with the NetIQ eDirectory User object in the primary authentication domain are processed. These login scripts are the same scripts processed by the Client for Open Enterprise Server.

However, because login scripts were designed to be processed by the Client for Open Enterprise Server on the user’s workstation, some of the defined statement types and script variables cannot be processed by NetStorage.

The maximum size of a login script is 16 KB. If the 16 KB limit is exceeded, login script drive mappings fail.
