Web Search indexes many file formats. The complete list of formats changes every
few months. However, as of the initial shipment of NetWare 6, Web Search 2.1
directly supports the following:

In addition to the indexable file formats, Web Search also recognizes, but cannot index, over 100 additional file formats. The list below represents the file formats that Web Search recognizes by default. The Display Text column represents the text that Web Search uses when resolving the $$FileFormat template variable in the ResultListVerboseTemplate.html template. The Mime Type column represents the string that Web Search will return when processing a template of the corresponding file format.
If you wish to add additional file formats or modify the existing ones, simply create a FileFormats.properties file and place it in the main Web Search directory.
