Retain provides organizations with legal compliance and litigation protection. It frees up disk space on messaging systems. It enhances message-data management. It allows you to archive and store messages and data from messaging systems and phones. Retain allows the administrators to manage archived messages, review archive status and activity, and generate reports on archived messages and data. This section summarizes the new features and enhancements in Retain 23.3 release.
Retain 23.3 supports GroupWise 18.5
Supported Java platform - JDK 17
Modern authentication (OAuth) is implemented for Office 365 users to access Retain server as Microsoft deprecated Basic Authentication.
When the search is in progress, the search field, search button, and filter options in the Search tab are disabled. These items are enabled after the search is completed. In addition, an in-progress spinner is displayed in the middle of the page. This is applicable for Advanced Search as well. Beginning with Retain 23.3, Retain Server's TrustStore is shared with local and remote workers. With this, workers can connect to HTTPS-secured messaging systems (like GroupWise or Exchange and so on) and communication through HTTPS will be validated before running the archiving job. The validation is based on the state of the certificate and the HTTPS validation configured on the Server. There is no configuration to be done on the RetainWorker. The supported upgrade path is from Retain version 4.11 or 4.11.0.1 or 23.2 to Retain version 23.3. For more information, see Upgrading to Retain 23.3

NOTE:Beginning with 23.2, Solr7 is not supported. If you are using Retain 4.11 or 4.11.0.1 before upgrading to Retain 23.2 or later, ensure that Solr8 is the Active Index Engine and Solr7 cleanup is performed. The following are known issues in the Retain 23.3 release.
The Retain Plugin for GroupWise WebAccess does not work in GroupWise version 18.3 and later.
OpenText has received unverified reports that SMS/MMS messages from new Android devices that have RCS enabled might not archive. If you experience the problem in archiving, contact Retain Support.
