Retain software versions are incremented as follows:
major-version.minor-version.service-pack.patch-release
Each number in the version string is 1 or 2 digits (0-99).
Examples include (in chronological order):
4.0 The initial release of Retain 4
4.8 The eighth minor- version release of Retain 4
4.8.0.1 The first patch release for Retain 4.8
4.8.2 The second service pack release for Retain 4.8
4.10 The tenth minor-version release of Retain 4
Patches and service packs are generally developed for the current version only.
Beginning with Retain 23.2 release, product version number is represented in a new format. The Retain software versions are incremented as follows:Retain YY.Q.N (YY = last two digits of the calendar year, Q = calendar quarter number, N = incrementing number starting with 1).
NOTE:The incrementing number is only included on releases delivered after the quarterly release. For example, Retain 23.3 release version, where 23 indicates - the year is 2023 and .3 indicates - the 3rd quarter of the year.
