Attachments

All Users can attach files to an Incident. Any type of file can be attached either by a User, Customer or via email.
 

Adding an Attachment

To add an Attachment:

  1. Select an Incident number ID

  2. Click Edit

  3. Select the Attachment tab

  4. Click new_sml.png

  1. Click Choose File to browse and select a file

  2. Mark Private, if the attachment is not to be available on the Customer Portal

  3. Enter a file Description, if necessary

  4. Select inline_upload.png to upload the file or inline_cancel.png to cancel the process.
    The uploaded Attachment is automatically date stamped and shown as a file name link along with its file size.
    To open an Attachment, select the file name hyperlink.

  5. Incidents that are part of a Group and have attachments uploaded within the Group Details Screen, display group_attach.gif within the Share Column.  

 

Deleting an Attachment

To delete an Attachment, select the checkbox beside the File Description then click Delete. The addition or removal of Attachments is recorded within the Audit Trail of the Incident.
