During the creation of a request, if enabled by the Administrator, a new Item can be generated and assigned to the request. To create a new Item when logging a request:
Select the Request Type
Set the Category
Select the Type
If an Item Types exists in the system with the Customer Create option
enabled, becomes available next to
the Item field when the Item Type is selected.
Click
to create the Item
The fields defined for the Item Category are displayed
Enter known Item information
Continue to complete the request details
Selecting a Classification and entering a Description is mandatory.
Click Save.
Both the new Item and request are created and saved.
