KIWI is specifically useful for customers who plan to create "golden images" based on SUSE Linux Enterprise.

SUSE™ Linux* Enterprise Server is available for download for each available platform as two DVD ISO images. DVD1 contains the binary packages, DVD2 the source code:

• Files with "x86_64" in the name are for the AMD64 and Intel* 64 platforms.
• Files with "s390x" in the name are for IBM* System z.
• Files with "ppc64le" in the name are for the IBM* Power LE platform.

1. Download the ISO images to a workstation or to a network drive.
2. Create DVDs from the ISO images (This step is optional: if you are working within a virtualized environment, you most probably will only need the images).

Important: Create the DVDs using the contents of the ISO images. Do not create the DVDs by burning the .iso files themselves (i.e. as a single "track") to DVD. Instead always choose "burn image", "burn ISO", "write premastered image", ... or similar.

This respin media includes several updated packages and also specific autoyast profiles to set up a Common Criteria Evaluated Configuration. Use the following additional installation option:

• For the Full Disc Encryption Profile: autoyast=file:///autoyast-cc_sles12_x86_64_fde.xml
• For the Full System Restore Profile: autoyast=file:///autoyast-cc_sles12_x86_64_fsr.xml

Please note that both profiles will repartition and use the full first system disk by default.
