Licensing for ZENworks 11 SP2

During installation, you are asked for a license code to activate the software. If you do not have a license code, you can activate the software in the evaluation mode. The evaluation mode lasts 60 days, after which you must either discontinue the use of the product or provide a valid license code. No reinstallation of the software is required when you move from an evaluation license to a full license.

Patch Management is activated for patch downloads only if you provide the patch subscription license key, which you must purchase independently. You can provide the subscription license key during the installation or later through ZENworks Control Center. To purchase a subscription license, see the Novell ZENworks Patch Management product Web site.

Licensing for ZENworks Application Virtualization 9.0

ZENworks Application Virtualization (the "application packager") can be used for a 60-day evaluation period. The interface clearly indicates when the product is running in the evaluation (unlicensed) mode. When you purchase the product, Novell or a certified Novell partner sends you a link to a license file for the application packager. If you have not already done so, install the application packager. Download the license from your Novell Customer Center account to an accessible location, then follow these steps:

  1. On the Novell ZENworks Application Virtualization 9.0 downloads page, click the proceed to download button to go to the next page, where the link to the download is active.
  2. On the downloads page, click download next to the files you want to download (ZAV-9.0-Studio.zip and ZAV-9.0-Streaming.zip).
  3. Follow the on-screen prompts to download the .zip files to a machine where you can extract the file and then distribute the appropriate files to the machines where you want them.
  4. Extract the .zip file to uncompress the files listed above.
  5. Save the extracted Setup.msi setup package to the machine where you want to run the ZENworks Application Virtualization Studio, then double-click this .msi file to begin the installation on that machine.

The product download, ZAV-9.0-Streaming.zip, bundles the files for the Spoon Standalone server and command line utilities for streaming applications. For complete instructions on installing, licensing, and using the Spoon Standalone server and SpoonPlay, see the ZENworks Application Virtualization Integration and Streaming Guide
