7.2 Deploying and Configuring the ZENworks Reporting 5.6.1 Appliance

You need to deploy the ZENworks Reporting 5.6.1 Appliance to migrate the existing ZENworks Reporting 5, and then configure the appliance with the network settings.

  1. Deploy the appliance as instructed in Section 3.1, Deploying the Appliance.

  2. Before you shut down ZENworks Reporting 5, back up the ZENworks Reporting resources (reports, views and so on) as follows:

    1. Log in to the ZENworks Reporting 5 server console (https://<ip>:8443) as an administrator.

    2. Go to Manage > Server Settings > Export.

    3. Save the export.zip file to your local machine.

  3. (Conditional) In order to use the existing server’s certificate authority (CA) configuration on the appliance shutdown the ZENworks Reporting 5 server and then configure the ZENworks Reporting 5.6.1 Appliance with the same FQDN as in the ZENworks Reporting 5 server.

    Configure the Appliance settings as instructed in Section 3.2, Configuring the Appliance Settings.

  4. Take note of the URLs displayed in the console, then continue with the next task, Migrating the ZENworks Reporting 5 data to the ZENworks Reporting 5.6.1 Appliance.
