In a Novell® ZENworks® for Desktops 4.x environment, accessing ZENworks policy and application files on a network server from a user desktop without using the Novell ClientTM or mapped drives required the ZENworks Middle Tier Server, even if a Microsoft Client was available.
Now, in a ZENworks 6.5 environment, the ZENworks Multiple UNC Provider can use either the Novell Client or the Microsoft Client (through the CIFS/SMB protocol) to increase the speed of customer access to network policies and applications.
