1089: Unable to get LDAP port number for the server server_name

Source:  ZENworks Server Management; Server Inventory installation on NetWare or Windows servers

Severity:  Critical

Explanation:  The installation program adds the following entry in the Inventoryserver_installation_directory\zenworks\inv\server\ wminv\properties\config.properties file:

LDAPPort=LDAP_port_number

This error occurs when installation program is unable to get the LDAP port number.

Action:  Follow these steps:

  1. Note the LDAP port number.

    1. In ConsoleOne, right-click the NCP server object, then click Properties.

    2. Click the Other tab.

    3. In the Attributes list, double-click LDAP Server, then read the value of the LDAP server object.

    4. Click Cancel.

    5. In ConsoleOne, right-click the LDAP server object, then click Properties.

    6. In the General tab, click the LDAP Server General option.

      If you have selected to configure SSL during the installation, the LDAP port number is the SSL port value; otherwise, it is the TCP port value.

  2. Manually add the LDAP port number in Inventoryserver_installation_directory\zenworks\inv\server\ wminv\properties\config.properties file.
