Because you administer ZfS primarily through ConsoleOne®, you need to have ConsoleOne 1.3.5 installed on at least one workstation or server before you install ZfS. To check your current version in ConsoleOne, click Help > About ConsoleOne.
IMPORTANT: ZfS does not support running from a server's console an instance of ConsoleOne installed on that NetWare server. To use the server's installation of ConsoleOne, you must map a drive from a workstation to that server and run ConsoleOne from the workstation.
To install ConsoleOne 1.3.5:
From the ZENworks for Servers Companion CD or the ZENworks 6 Companion 1 CD, run:
\CONSOLEONE\C1.EXE
The WinZip Self-Extractor dialog box is displayed.
Click Setup.
After the files have been extracted, the installation program starts.
Click Next to begin the installation.
Review the License Agreement > click Accept.
Browse to and select the location where you want to install ConsoleOne > click Next twice.
If you have an older version of ConsoleOne installed on the workstation that you use for a previous version of ZfS, you can specify a different path. For example, change the 1.2 subdirectory to 1.3, or 1.3.5.
IMPORTANT: If you are upgrading from ZfS 2, we recommend that you use the 1.2 subdirectory so that you can manage both ZfS versions from the same instance of ConsoleOne. For more information, see Upgrading from ZENworks for Servers 2.
Select any languages in addition to English that you want to install > click Next twice.
After reviewing the summary of products to be installed, click Finish.
Objects are analyzed and the installation is performed.
When the installation completes, click Close.
When you run the ZfS installation program, you will choose whether to install the ZfS ConsoleOne snap-ins to a workstation and/or one or more servers. This choice must match the location where you have installed ConsoleOne 1.3.5.
