The cluster resource is configured on its primary cluster. Preferred peer clusters are the other clusters that a cluster resource can be migrated to in a business continuity cluster. You specify to the resource’s
clusters list where the resource can be migrated. You can migrate a resource only to one of the clusters that has been selected. When you add a new peer cluster (or remove a cluster and add it back in) to the business continuity cluster, the new cluster is automatically listed in the
list for each of the existing cluster resources. You must manually assign the peer cluster to the list of preferred clusters for each of the cluster resources that you want to be able to fail over to it.In the
list, specify the preferred peer clusters for fail over and their preferred failover order.Select a peer cluster, then click the left-arrow or right-arrow button to move it to the the
list or list. Select a peer cluster, then use the up-arrow and down-arrow buttons to change the preferred failover order of the peer clusters in the list.IMPORTANT:By default, the cluster resource can fail over to any node in the preferred peer cluster. That is, all nodes in a peer cluster appear on the
list for that resource on that cluster.Do one of the following:
