After upgrading a Netware server to OES NetWare, it is possible for a Traditional volume to still reside on that server. This creates a problem when migrating from OES NetWare to OES Linux because the Traditional volume data cannot be read on OES Linux. You should move the data from the Traditional volume to an NSS volume before upgrading to Linux. One way to do this is by using the Volume Copy Utility (VCU). For information about VCU, see Section C.2, Copying and Upgrading Legacy Volumes with Volume Copy Upgrade.
For information about other data migration options, see Migrating and Consolidating Existing Servers and Data
in the NW 6.5 SP8: Planning and Implementation Guide.
