Upgrading Novell® ZENworks® 6.5 Desktop Management (or 6.5 SP1 or SP2 Desktop Management, both of which are referred to as ZENworks 6.5x Desktop Management hereafter) to ZENworks 7 Desktop Management is as simple as installing the new product. The installation program automatically upgrades the Desktop Management components including the Desktop Management Server, the ZENworks Middle Tier Server, and the Desktop Management Agent.
NOTE:We recommend that you upgrade from ZENworks 6.5 Desktop Management to ZENworks 7 Desktop Management in this order: Desktop Management Server, ZENworks Middle Tier Server, Desktop Management Agent.
