If you are not able to run the iFolder client, consider the following cause:
Multiple simias processes are running on the client.
When it fails to launch, consider the following action:
Close the iFolder client GUI.
Open a terminal console and run pkill -9<simias process id 1 simias process id 2> to end the simias processes.
Run rm -rf <home directory>/local/share/simias to remove the simias directory.
NOTE:Removing the simias directory deletes all the meta data of iFolder, so you need to configure the account again.
Restart iFolder after a few seconds to launch it successfully.
Close the iFolder client GUI.
In the Windows Task Manager, select the simias processes and terminate them by clicking
.Remove the simias directory %APPDATA%/{username}/Local Settings/Application Data/simias.
NOTE:Removing the simias directory deletes all the meta data of iFolder, so you need to configure the account again.
Restart iFolder after a few seconds to launch it successfully.
Close the iFolder client GUI.
Open a terminal console and run killall mono to end the simias processes.
Run rm -rf <home directory>/.local/share/simias to remove the simias directory.
NOTE:Removing the simias directory deletes all the meta data of iFolder, so you need to configure the account again.
Restart iFolder after a few seconds to launch it successfully.
