How to determine what DirXML version is installed?

Novell DirXML

How to find DirXML Engine Version information

How to find driver version information

The best way to get version information about DirXML or Identity Manager is to check the DirXML traces.  The DirXML version is  reported in the "source" element for all documents created by the engine.

The DirXML engine will display its version information.

 Here is an example.
<nds dtdversion="1.1" ndsversion="8.6">
  <product version="1.1a">DirXML</product>
  <contact>Novell, Inc.</contact>

 <nds dtdversion="2.0" ndsversion="8.x">
        <product version="">DirXML</product>
        <contact>Novell, Inc.</contact>

Also look at the file date and size of the DirXML.JAR file.

To find information on Driver versions check the DirXML Trace file and also check the files dates and sizes of the driver itself, jar file, dll, etc.

If the "source" element does not provide the needed information then use checksum, file date, and file size information.

On Unix and Linux use the UNIX Information tool located at under UNIXINF1.TGZ.
