Starting with an empty database for ZfD Inventory

Novell ZENworks for Desktops 4.x

How to start with an empty database for ZFD NAL Reporting

1. Shut down the Inventory services on the server.

2. Extract (with PowerArchiver or Winzip) that you can find in folder \zenworks\sfiles\InstallerData\ on the ZFD-installation cd.

3. Browse to \R_\Test\prometheus\Bogus\zenworks\Products\RMInv\Database\Sybase\ and unpack InvDB_zg_ia_sf.jar.

4. Copy all extracted files to \ZENworks\Inv\DB\ on the server. Replace existing files.

5. Start the services with mgmtdbs.ncf and startinv.

If you need an empty NAL.DB it is in NalDB_zg_ia_sf.jar.
