Environment

Novell Open Enterprise Server 2 (Linux based)

Situation

Error: "Failed to load RRs of a zone with error -1" in log file when starting novell-named service
novell-named service fails to start

Resolution

Make sure that the novell-xregd service is running: rcnovell-xregd status
If it is not running start it: rcnovell-xregd start
