Novell iPrint
Novell Open Enterprise Server

Situation

Error: "Uploading resources to the Driver Store using 'Add From File' is not currently supported."
Error: "Uploading resources to the Broker using 'Add From File' is not currently supported."
Cannot upload drivers to Broker or Driver store using non-IE browsers

Resolution

If using a browser other than IE, then:
Non-IE browsers are not support for driver upload.  Upload drivers using iprntman, iprntcmd, or Internet Explorer.  See TID 3000249 for instructions to upload drivers using iprntman and iprntcmd.

Note:  Uploading drivers with IE6 or IE7 also does not work with Windows 2003 Server (tested on sp2).
If using IE and seeing the message, then:
Right-click the IE icon and choose "Run as Administrator".  Log into iManager and try again.  Sometimes, changing the IE configuration to "Compatibility Mode" is also required to get driver uploads to work.

 

Additional Information

Uploading drivers using the "Add From File" button within iManager is not supported when using non-IE browsers.
