Error:"Error writing the slap connection response message [8911]"

Environment

Novell GroupWise 8 Support Pack 2 Hot Patch 2
Novell GroupWise 2012

Situation

Post Office Agent log shows slap connection error as mentioned below:
"Error writing the slap connection response message [8911]
Remove slap connection ID 17107 because of error [8911]
and Error: Not found [8F07] on poa."

Resolution

For SLES:
1. Browse to Post Office Agent startup file and add --udpslap switch before END OF FILE and restart Post Office Agent.
 
For NetWare/Windows:
1. Browse to Post Office Agent file and add /udpslap switch before END OF FILE and restart Post Office Agent.

Additional Information

Even if after adding udpslap switch there is slap connection error on Post Office Agent log then perform following steps:
 
1. Stop Post Office Agent
2. Browse to Post Office directory and rename wphost.db to wphost.old
3. Rename wpcsin and wpcsout to wpcsin.old, wpcsout.old respectively
4. Launch ConsoleOne | Connect to owning domain | Select Post Office | Right Click | GroupWise Utilities | System Maintenance | Rebuild database
5. Start Post Office Agent
