This document (7011529) is provided subject to the disclaimer at the end of this document.

Environment

Novell Client 4.91 SP2 for Windows XP/2003
Novell Client 2 SP2 for Windows 7 (IR5)
Open Enterprise Server 11 SP1

Situation

Total free space is being incorrectly displayed for volumes >16 Terabytes.

For example, a workstation running the Novell Client and connected to an OES2 SP1 Linux (64-bit) server with a mounted 20TB volume using an XFS filesystem. While the local server displays the large capacity filesystem statistics correctly, the workstation shows only about 3TB via the Novell Client.

Resolution

For the Novell Client, support has been added for this feature beginning in Novell Client 2 SP4 for Windows. However, support for >16TB volumes requires changes on the server as well as the client. The server-side changes are expected to be be available beginning in OES 2015.

Status

Reported to Engineering

Additional Information

Support for >16TB volumes requires changes on the server as well as the client. The server-side changes are expected to be be available beginning in OES 2015.
