Not able to upload file to Netfolder with extended characters in the file name

Novell Filr 1.0
Novell Filr client for iOS 1.0.0
Apple Mac OS X
Apple iOS

Situation

Using the Filr Web GUI or the iOS mobile client, files that contain an extended character fail to upload.

Error: "com.novell.teaming.fi.connection.famt.FamtResourceDriver: Invalid UNC Path"

This phenomena is observed regardless of the web browser.

Resolution

This has been reported to Novell Engineering, and will the addressed in a forthcoming update for FiLR.

Additional Information

Extended characters (extended ASCII or high ASCII) are those which are not in the standard seven-bit ASCII character set.
These are eight-bit or larger character encodings.

Simplified, in a Latin based character set, these are the letters that for instance have umlauts, accents, cedilla, ...
