11.2.4 System Update 'DO NOT REBOOT', suppress reboot option is ignored

This document (7014047) is provided subject to the disclaimer at the end of this document.

Novell ZENworks Configuration Management 11.2 System Update

When deploying the 11.2.4 System Update to devices, the DO NOT REBOOT option to suppress the reboot is ignored.

After the system update completes, the end user will still be prompted with the automatic reboot in 5 minutes and the device will reboot according to the prompt if no action is taken.

If cancel is selected, it will prompt again and the device will automatically reboot in 5 minutes if no action is taken.

If OK is selected, then the device will reboot now.

A fix for this issue is intended to be included in a future update to the product: however, in the interim, Novell has made a Patch available for testing, as part of a Monthly patch update: it can be obtained at http://download.novell.com/Download?buildid=Rbs5fYlojj0~ as "ZCM 11.2.4 Monthly Update 1 - see TID 7014163". This update should only be applied if the symptoms above are being experienced, and are causing problems.

Please report any problems encountered when using this Patch, by using the feedback link on this TID.

Turn off the 'Reboot Prompt Nag Dialog' option in
ZCC > Configuration > Device Management > System Update Agent
