LDAP Bind Account gets Locked Out after Failed ZENworks Upgrade

Environment

Novell ZENworks Configuration Management 11.3

Situation

An upgrade to ZENworks 11.3 failed after upgrading the database schema
The LDAP bind account for the ZENworks user source gets locked out during nightly ZENworks maintenance
The ZENworks services were started somehow after the failed upgrade

Resolution

Shutdown the ZENworks services until the upgrade is successful

The following can be done stop the ZENworks services:

  1. Run the command: novell-zenworks-configure -c Start
  2. Follow the on screen directions to select and complete the Stop option
