Jul 2016 PRU may make products disappear from device's inventory

Situation

  • Jul 2016 PRU with release date Jul 2, 2016 has been applied or shown in ZCC
  • Devices have run inventory scans since applying Jul 2016 PRU
  • Some installed products may no longer show in device inventory reports

Resolution

Jul 2016 PRU has been re-released with the fix for this issue.

Please do the following:
  1. Login to ZCC
  2. Navigate to Configuration > System Updates
  3. Delete Jul 2016 PRU (release date: Jul 2, 2016) from the Available System Updates section
  4. Download the new Jul 2016 PRU (release date: Jul 6, 2016) with one of the following methods:
  6. Apply Jul 2016 PRU (release date: Jul 6, 2016):
    1. Select Jul 2016 PRU
    2. Click Action > Deploy PRU Now
  8. Run an inventory scan on the affected devices

Cause

There was corruption in the original Jul 2016 PRU that was released.
