Micro Focus iPrint Client for Windows
Situation
When submitting a print job to an iPrint printer, the name of the document shows within the Windows Printer Queue (Devices and Printers -> double-click the printer -> Job List dialog). All users which have that iPrint printer installed can see this list of document names. This is a feature is a security risk for some organizations.
Resolution
With the following two requirements met, the document titles will not show in the Windows Printer Queue job dialog:
- Install the Micro Focus iPrint Client version 6.09 or later.
- Add the following string to the /var/opt/novell/iprint/htdocs/iprint.ini file
- HideDocumentsOnWindowsPrintQueue=1
