Open Enterprise Server 2018 (OES 2018) Linux
Situation
Changes to /etc/fstab on an OES2018 server may result in NSS not mounting automatically at boot.
Resolution
This is fixed in novell-nss-4.21.3-0.209.10, which is included in Update 3 for OES2018 (released June 27, 2018)
A workaround other than the one-off fix is to edit the /etc/fstab file, find the line that loads the NSS Volume and remove options other than noauto and name from the line, as such:
Problem entry:
DATA /media/nss/DATA nssvol noauto,rw,name=DATA,norename,ns=Long 0 0
Fixed:
DATA /media/nss/DATA nssvol noauto,name=DATA 0 0
After doing this, reboot the server.
