Environment

Novell Client 2 SP4 for Windows (IR1)

Situation

After upgrading to Novell Client 2 SP4 for Windows (IR1) or later, workstations with IP Address Costing enabled can experience long delays (several minutes or more) when logging in.

Resolution

Workaround: Disable IP Address Costing. This setting can be found in: System Tray icon > Client Properties > Advanced Settings tab > IP Address Costing.
