Patching GMS server hangs during initializing repositories.

Situation

You got newer GMS ISO image copied locally on a GMS server and you want to patch that part. All starts well but the patch process hangs with initializing repositories.
A SLES server was successfully registered with the NCC and online repositories are available. You can patch/update the SLES but GMS software.

Resolution

Make sure that default DVD/ISO of SLES11/SLES12 which was used to install the OS is mounted, listed in the repositories and is enabled.
