"Integer division by zero" exception when starting a session

Environment

Reflection Desktop for UNIX and OpenVMS 16.1

Situation

  • "Reflection for UNIX and OpenVMS has stopped working" message when a session is opened.
  • When selecting "View problem details" on this message, this exception is described: "Unhandled exception at 0x003ACFDF in r2win.exe: 0xC0000094: Integer division by zero."
  • Recently upgraded from an evaluation build of Reflection Desktop to the licensed version. Error did not occur using previous evaluation version.

Resolution

Reboot your computer. This error should not be seen after restarting Windows.

Cause

Unknown. Micro Focus Customer Support has only received two reports of this particular error message, once in 2009, and once in 2018. Both cases were resolved by restarting Windows.
