Checking out database connectivity from the command line for Novell Messenger

Situation

In order to check out the database connectivity from the command line

change to the /opt/novell/messenger/bin directory and run


./chkconn -r 127.0.0.1 -z 8320 -u root -p <db_passwrod) -s Messengerservice -l

This should return information and validate certificates.  If the –l is omitted then only valid 3rd party certificates should work.
