Update of OES2018.2 leaves reiserfs in a read only state

Environment

Open Enterprise Server 2018 (OES 2018 SP2) Linux SP2

Situation

Updating OES2018.2 to Kernel 4.12.14-122.23 leaves reiserfs in a RO state.

Resolution

Updating the kernel to 4.12.14-122.26.1 or newer resolves the issue.

The fix for this bug was released last week. If you have the older kernel, please re-update the server to get the newer version that doesn't have this problem.
