For ZDML7: To obtain access to a hot patch with the fix for this problem, follow the instructions in KB 3469853 "Updates to Novell ZENworks 7.2 Linux Management" which can be found at Novell Support

Additional Information

For the machines with the values 0x8086, 0x10f5, and e1000e, the workaround is to use KB 3421576 'How to get ZENworks imaging to automatically recognize new NICs' to manually add the string: newid="0x8086 0x10f5,e1000e" using the latest bootcd.iso from Novell Downloads.

The same process can be used for device IDs / device strings:

newid="0x8086 0x1049,e1000e"
newid="0x8086 0x1049,e1000" .
